  • Through their partnership with Mango Languages, our own Watertown Free Public Library offers online classes in over 60 different foreign languages. The classes are designed to be self-paced and geared towards achieving conversational proficiency. They offer ESL courses as well – all you need is a WFLP library card to get started.

  • Cambridge’s cultural exchange institute EF offers a highly sophisticated and broad language education program online, in-person, and overseas. The class selection is meant to address a wide range of needs, from those of the casual traveler to the more work-related requirements of business travel and work in foreign cultures.   • As the third most commonly spoken language in the world, Spanish is of significant interest to casual travelers and business people alike – maybe you’re one of them! The Spanish Language Center of Newton is a fantastic resource for learning Spanish at all levels, whether through total immersion or casual conversation. They also offer classes tailored to healthcare professionals, as well as students, business people, and vacationers. They hold frequent Open Houses for people to come check them out – head here to find one that works for you!

  • If you live in Watertown you may already know it boasts the one of the largest Armenian populations in the US. There’s a lot of interest in the rich heritage that Armenians bring to our town, including the spoken language itself! For over 35 years, Watertown’s Saint James Armenian Church has offered adult courses in Armenian for people of all interest and skill levels; head to their website for more info!
