Dining al Fresco in Watertown

With the days trending longer and warmer, it’ll be no time at all before restaurant hosts answer your table request with “inside or out?” Whether it’s a margarita or a latte you’re after, there are plenty of great spots in and around Watertown that offer al fresco dining. Here are some of our favorites:

  • A Watertown favorite for over 20 years, Porcini’s specializes in cuisine from Italy, Morocco, Greece, and Southern France, with a killer wine list. Their outdoor patio can seat up to 40 and is available to book for private events, too! Head here for more info.

  • Stellina’s has been keeping Watertown happy with delicious Italian cuisine since the late 80s. Known for their sell-out opera nights, Stellina’s has a small but very pretty patio area out back!

  • Uncommon Grounds at 575 Mount Auburn Street serves up some of the best coffee in Watertown, along with yummy breakfast and lunch fare. Grab a spot out front and watch the world go by.

  • Watertown’s urban rotisserie Branch Line at Arsenal On The Charles has ample outdoor seating on its patio that turns into a beer hall in the winter (yesss) and is also available for private events! And don’t forget about that bocce court …

  • In the heart of Watertown Square, the Diner at 11 North Beacon serves up home-cooked casual breakfast and lunch fare, 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM seven days a week, with a patio out back.

  • For a bit of a splurge (or if Mom or Dad’s paying), head up the Charles River to Cambridge’s Restaurant Dante located in the first floor of the Royal Sonesta Hotel. Dante specializes in upscale Italian fare, with house made pastas, grilled meats and fish, and an extensive cocktail and wine program. Its spacious outdoor seating offers spectacular views of the Charles River and Boston skyline. Dinner only.
