Watertown Coffee Shops

There’s plenty in Watertown to get us up and out in the morning, for sure – but a little caffeine doesn’t hurt! Lucky for us, there are lots of great options around town when it comes to coffee, whether you’re a full-blown connoisseur or like to keep it simple. Here are some of our favorite spots to power up!

  • Although it’s expanded into a full-service café serving breakfast and lunch, Uncommon Grounds proudly stays true to its roots as a coffee shop and takes its java seriously. Their brewed coffee selection includes five varieties daily, along with freshly ground espresso drinks. Check out their impressive latte selection, including the Swiss Chocolate Almond Latte – our guilty pleasure these days!

  • Chicago-based Intelligentsia Coffee has made a big splash in Watertown since its opening in 2016, and is for the serious coffee drinker. They source, roast, and distribute all their own coffees, selling both drinks and beans in their café space. They also feature several varieties of tea, along with some fun brewing products and accessories!

  • Tucked away at 205 Arlington Street, Danish Pastry House is one of our favorite Watertown finds, where you can get a freshly-brewed cup of Counter Culture Coffee along with one of their delectable Danish baked goods – a dangerous combo!

  • Superstar local chef Ana Sortun has been brewing some of the best coffee in town at Sofra Bakery and Café since she opened back in 2008. Consistent with the café’s Middle Eastern sensibility, Sortun’s beverage menu features Turkish coffee, sesame caramel lattes, and mochas scented with cinnamon. And don’t leave without one of her amazing cookies or pastries – yum!
