Local Instagram Accounts to Follow

2019 promises to be another busy year in Watertown, with lots to keep tabs on. If you’re active on social media like most of us, no doubt you’re checking Instagram a fair amount. Here are some of our go-to accounts for staying on top of all the latest in Watertown:

FOR FOODIES

  • Branch Line continues to kill it on Instagram, with their Insta stories especially. Follow them for the latest on menu specials, latest wine and beer pours, and fun events at their space.
  • Newcomer CountryMile has been super active chronicling their restaurant build-out; we’re loving their feed for getting to know their eclectic food and booze selection. @countrymilefood
  • Local specialty grocer Russo’s offers helpful tutorial videos on everything from choosing the right produce to how to cut open a pomegranate (right? who knew). Follow them at @russosproduce

FOR LOCAL HISTORY AND HAPPENINGS

  • The Watertown Free Public Library regularly posts cool images of historic Watertown on their feed, often in side-by-side “then and now” format. Check them out, too, for all the latest on their very busy event calendar. @watertownpublib
  • How much do you really know about our local Fire Department?? Get an inside look with Captain Ryan Nicholson, Watertown Fire’s Staff Service Officer! @watertownfire
  • The new Arsenal Yards project is one of the biggest happenings going on this year, with new retail, restaurant and office space, a cinema, grocer and over 300 apartments coming to the East End over the next two years! Keep it tuned to their account for frequent updates on new retailers, construction news, and more. @arsenal_yards
