A Different Spin on Valentine's Day

There’s nothing wrong with a little chocolate and romance on Valentine’s Day. But sometimes it’s fun to shake things up, too. Looking to do something a little different with your Valentine this year? We found a few places and things that might be fun to check out:

  • Wanna jump around? Head on over to Launch Watertown trampoline park – open jump hours are 4-8 PM on weeknights. If you’re feeling competitive, you could also challenge your Valentine to a game of laser tag! And if you want to really slay, show how brave you are by checking out the Launch Tower – it catapults you 20 feet into a giant inflatable bag.

  • If an evening of vocal harmonies and swing music is your thing, the Vintage Vocal Quartet will hold a special Valentine’s Day performance at the Mosesian Center for the Arts! Travel back to the era of Tommy Dorsey and Benny Goodman with this hugely talented group of vocalists – who play instruments too, by the way. Ticket and event info here

  • If pop music’s more your thing, catch a live show with American Idol star Phillip Phillips at the Sinclair in Harvard Square! He’s headlining February 13 and 14 –click here for event and ticket info.

  • Wanna get away? Book a staycation at the brand-new Marriott Residence Inn in Watertown, just steps from the Charles River! They’re a special Valentine’s Day promo with complimentary prosecco and chocolates, using the code ROM. Access the discount reservations link here.

  • And if you’re all about the sweets this holiday, book yourselves in at Boston Public Market’s Valentine’s Day Truffle Experience with Taza Chocolate! Held 6-8 PM at the Market kitchen space, the workshop will teach you the basics of truffle making, along with delicious sips of wine pairings from the Massachusetts Wine Shop. This event is sure to sell out – head here to score tickets!
