Thousands Turn Out For 'Patriots Day' Casting Call

Wannabe actors started showing up at 4 a.m. hoping to get a role in the movie about the Boston Marathon bombing and the subsequent manhunt.

Thousands turned out for a casting call for the movie Patriots Day in Allston on Sunday, according to NECN.

Individuals started lining up as a early as 4 a.m. for the 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. event on March 13. 

So many people showed up, that police had to shut down the street, according to WHDH, 7News.

Boston Casting was seeking extras for police officers, firefighters, doctors, nurses, paramedics, SWAT team members, and marathon runners.

The movie produced by and starring Dorchester-native Mark Wahlberg, recreates the Boston Marathon bombs and the manhunt in the days after.
