WATERTOWN, MA - The Boston area is known for culinary excellence, and Watertown has plenty to offer on the foodie front ranging from thai to steaks.

Here are the five most highly rated restaurants in the city according to Yelp:

Cha Yen Thai Cookery- 613 Mt Auburn St
Yelp reviewer Chu C., from Belmont wrote: “Been here a few times, and it’s been really good each time. Fresh, tasty food all around. They do a good job with stir fried veggies! Everything here has been outstanding, or better than average at worst. The really good stuff I tried includes the awesome corn cakes, the kra pao, and the Massaman curry. Pad Thai was also really tasty, along with the basil fried rice. Less stellar, but still good were the Tom Yum soup and the pad see you.“

Super Fusion Cuisine- 54 Mt Auburn St.

Jeremiah G., of Watertown wrote: “I am OBSESSED with Super Fusion. If it was cheaper, I’d be in there multiple times a week. As it is, I’m still in there at least once every 10 days or so. The sushi is always fresh and delicious. They put together some awesome specials -- anything with fatty tuna is to die for -- and they’ve got a great base list of standbys that never fail to leave me stuffed and happy. The service and the staff are incredible. They are always very friendly, offer great recommendations, and more often than not, they’ve got my drink of choice ready to roll before I’ve even settled into my seat. I absolutely adore this place.”

Strip-T’s Restaurant - 93 School St.

Guillermo M., of Brookline wrote: “New favorite place in Boston. Casual, excellent service and a unique experience with the food. Love places that do not pretend to be the fanciest place on earth with too expensive meals with descriptions that nobody understands. This place puts a lot attention to their food and every little detail on it. The best. We got the moxie wings, a blended wine from southern france, the hamburger, the caesar salad and we closed with a layered chocolate cake and coffee. Everything was perfect, unique and had great flavor. The only thing we didn’t like was that we couldn’t get a piece of that buttermilk pie that everybody seemed to be eating except us!! We will have to come back.”

Roksana’s- 133 Mount Auburn St.

Shizhao S., from Brookline wrote: “Went there [last] week. It was a fantastic place! The person at the register was really nice and helpful. My girlfriend ordered a lamb kabab roll up and I ordered a Lamb soltani. The meat was grilled perfectly. The portion of the food is enormous, especially the soltani ---- normal sized kabab and beef koobideh with Basmati rice. The rice was also seasoned and definitely more flavorful than any other Basmati rice I’ve tasted. The kebab roll has veggies in it so I actually prefer that more than the soltani. But if you are a meat lover, then soltani is the one you should try.”

Red Lentil Vegetarian & Vegan Restaurant- 600 Mt Auburn St.

Arlene B., from Brookline wrote: “I’ve eaten here a few times, and am never disappointed. Boyfriend took me there for dinner tonight, and it was delicious! Had a kale appetizer and some fried cauliflower dish (gobi manchurian). For main courses, I had a tasty tempeh and vegetable dish, boyfriend had risotto. For dessert, I had vanilla cake. Absolutely everything was incredible, and huge portions! Hard to find a really good vegan/vegetarian restaurant. This one is really good.”
