East End Watertown is accessible by public transportation, with a major Red Line stop nearby at Harvard Square and a connecting MBTA Bus Route #71 from Harvard Square straight down Mt. Auburn Street to the heart of the East End, Coolidge Square (Mt. Auburn Street & Bigelow St stop; Approx. 10 minutes from Harvard Square). The area's many shops, restaurants, companies and homes are within walking distance.

East End Watertown is approximately a 10 minute drive from Harvard Square via Mt. Auburn St. and approximately a 15 minute drive from Copley Square via Storrow Drive and Soldiers Field Road. Other areas will find it easily accessible from the Mass Pike or Fresh Pond Parkway, among many routes available to the East End. 

 

From Storrow Drive:

 

Travel West toward Arlington/Newton
Continue onto Soldiers Field Rd
Continue straight onto Eliot Bridge (MA-2/US-3/Arlington/Fresh Pond Pkwy)
Continue straight onto Greenough Blvd
Turn right onto Arsenal Street

 

From West, Rte 128, or I 95:
 
Take Mass Pike East to Newton/Watertown Exit 17
Turn left over Pike on to Centre Street and straight through the light
Centre Street will become Galen Street
At 4th light (approx. 0.6 miles) take right on to North Beacon Street in Watertown Square
At first fork, bear left on to Arsenal Street
 
From East or I 93:
 
Take Mass Pike West to Watertown/Newton Exit 17
Bear right on to Galen Street
At 4th light (approx. 0.6 miles) take right on to North Beacon Street in Watertown Square
At first fork, bear left on to Arsenal Street

With access to the Watertown/Cambridge Greenway, commuters can access East End Watertown from Boston, Cambridge and Arlington in minutes, while enjoying excellent views of the Charles River. This right-of-way runs through East End Watertown near Arsenal Street just behind the Watertown Mall and connects to the Fresh Pond & Minuteman Bike Paths to the north, as well as Greenough Blvd and Charles River Bike Paths to the east & west.
